What support does UNV give to host UN entities?
UNV offers support services that add value to host organizations, including:
UNV is active in around 154 countries, has a field presence in over 60 countries, and offers operational capacity and decentralized support to deliver talent solutions.
Access to a Global Talent Pool of over 250,000 onsite UN Volunteer and 600,000 Online Volunteer candidates, who can contribute to national and sub-national capacity development in more than 100 professional areas and with diversity in expertise, age, gender and location;
Talent acquisition expertise to manage the selection process and shortlisting of high-caliber candidates to meet the host’s requirements;
Speedy deployment of UN Volunteers in an average of 8 to 12 weeks for national and international volunteers respectively, and flexible mechanisms to fast-track emergency deployment and direct recruitment for immediate host entity needs;
Well-established legal and administrative framework to engage volunteers, including conditions of service, guidance notes and the UNV code of conduct, all available under Policy, Notes and Guidelines;
Full range of operational support on the bulk of the day-to-day administration, including contractual arrangement and payroll/entitlements management.
Learning and training support to meet UN Volunteer needs during different phases of assignment;
Unified Volunteering Platform enables you search and apply for assignments, prepare for deployment and engage with UNV while on assignment. Partners can create online volunteering assignments and select from applied candidates directly in the platform.
Quality control and service improvement through UN host entity and UN Volunteer feedback (in 2022, the partner satisfaction rate was above 92 per cent and UN Volunteer satisfaction rate was 95 per cent).
